Apple iPhone

The Apple iPhone combines three products — a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching — into one small and lightweight handheld device.

The Phone

The Apple iPhone is a revolutionary new mobile phone that allows you to make a call by simply tapping a name or number in your address book, a favorites list, or a call log. It also automatically syncs all your contacts from a PC, Mac, or Internet service. And it lets you select and listen to voicemail messages in whatever order you want — just like email.

Calls
Making a call with the iPhone is as simple as touching a name or number. You can also create a favourites list of numbers or merge calls together to create a conference.

Visual Voicemail
With a coolness score of ten out of ten, the new visual voice mail feature is very cool. It allows you to go directly to any of your messages without having to listen to prior messages. Did your girlfriend or wife leave you a message? Listen to hers before listening to the one from your boss.

Predictive Text Soft Keyboard
Personally I am not a fan of soft keyboards, however the other features make up for it's lack of slide out QWERTY keyboard.

2 Megapixel Camera
When it comes to the camera, Apple have put in a 2 Megapixel camera. That is great for the photography nut (...Ok I am guilty of that one...) as it allows you to always have a fairly decent camera around to catch that "right moment, at the right time" shot.

The iPod

iPhone is a widescreen iPod with touch controls that lets you enjoy your content — including music, audiobooks, videos, TV shows, and movies — on a beautiful 3.5-inch widescreen display. It also lets you sync your content from the iTunes library on your PC or Mac. And then you can access it all with just the touch of a finger.

Music
With a flick of your finger, you can scroll through your songs, artists, albums or playlists. You can even browse by album artwork.

Video
The stunning Wide Screen (3.5 inches) is the ultimate way to entertain yourself with a good movie, whether you are on a train, plane, or simply just hanging around somewhere.

Pocket Internet

iPhone features a rich HTML email client and Safari — the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device — which automatically syncs bookmarks from your PC or Mac. Safari also includes built-in Google and Yahoo! search. iPhone is fully multi-tasking, so you can read a web page while downloading your email in the background over Wi-Fi or EDGE.

Safari
The iPhone sports the latest in browser technology with it's Safari browser. See pages the way they were supposed to be seen and then using your finger with the little flick motion, you can zoom in or out.

Mail
Well what good is a phone now adays if it didn't have email. Well the iPhone does have email support for POP3 and IMAP, which means even on the run you can receive and send emails.

Maps
Never get lost again with the Apple iPhone's map support. Maps are provided by Google Maps.

Widgets
The iPhone is barely off the shelves on release date and already there are loads of widgets available to enhance your experience of the latest feeds to your phone.

YouTube
Apple has even included an easy way to watch YouTube videos. Find a really funny video? Then use the cool built in mailing function.

Hi-Tech

Multi-touch
With their new innovative Multi-Touch interface, everything you need is on or accessable via the screen.

OS X
The iPhone comes with Apple OS X. With support for email, weather, internet stocks, and many more this software redefines what you can do with a mobile phone.

Wireless
The iPhone boasts Edge, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and the standard GSM protocols.

Sensors
There are some funky sensors on the device. One, the accelerometer detects when you rotate the device so that the display can be changed. The iPhone also detects whether you are talking to someone, it will blank the screen to save bettery power.
